Free public transport - Rugby events
Event-goers can ride a free rugby shuttle bus to FMG Stadium Waikato. Leaving from the Transport Centre around every 10 minutes, from an hour before kick-off, travelling via Caro, Alexandra, Hodd, Knox, Victoria, Liverpool, Angelsea, and London streets to Seddon Road. You can signal the driver and jump on up at any official bus stop along the way. See a map of the route here.
A dedicated shuttle loops between The Base and FMG Stadium Waikato on match days. Services run prior to the match departing from the Busit Bus Hub located at the northern end of The Base, near Citta Design at 5.46pm, 6.15pm, and 6.45pm. You can signal the driver and jump on up at any official bus stop along the way. See a map of the Base route here.
Buses head back into town and to The Base will run right after the final whistle from Seddon Road until crowds are cleared. For more information on the city's bus service visit the BUSIT website.
Public event parking options
There is limited, controlled public parking adjacent to the venue, however due to the large number of pedestrians in the area on game days we recommend avoiding all roads near the rugby ground.

Function parking
On-site parking is available for private functions, while bus parking is available adjacent to FMG Stadium Waikato on Willoughby Street – please speak to your Functions Manager for more details.
Accessibility car parking

Transport options
FMG Stadium Waikato is an easy 15-20 minute walk from Hamilton’s CBD.
Cycling to the venue is encouraged. Bicycle racks are available at Gate 2 and 4. Patrons must supply their own lock.
Taxi pick-ups and drop-offs are possible outside the FMG Stadium Waikato road closure area.
A smokefree venue
In accordance with the Smokefree Environments Act 2003, smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere inside FMG Stadium Waikato.
